Warbirds Over Wilmington (NC) - UPDATE
Our Japanese A6M Zero fighter, built for the movie "Tora1Tora!Tora!" will be making a high speed low level pass over both runways at Wilmington International Airport on Saturday April 11 and Sunday April 12. This will be a rare opportunity (and perhaps the only one in your lifetime) to see the iconic Zero flying at 250mph right above the runway and visualize its dominance over American F4F Wildcat fighters in the Battle of Guadalcanal in the Pacific in 1944. Watch video of our Zero at the 2025 Olympic Airshow here.

Mark your calendar to attend the Warbirds Over Wilmington April 11 and 12 near the ILM Public Viewing Area, 2260 Control Tower Drive, Wilmington. The event is NOT at the airport terminal. See map.

Just added to the warbird lineup at Wilmington is a classic 1942 Boeing PT-17 Stearman biplane. This is THE ionic biplane of the 1940s and served as the primary trainer for the Army and Navy in WWII. You can't miss it with its bright yellow wings. It is one of only eight Stearmans in the world painted in US Coast Guard livery. Warbird rides are available in the Stearman at $400/ride. Book your ride here.

Warbird rides are also available in the TBM Avenger, the largest single engine bomber of WWII. Powered by a 14-cylinder radial engine developing 1900hp you will hear and feel the raw power of this queen of the Capital Wing fleet whether flying in the Observer seat behind the pilot or in the Turret seat. Book your ride here. There are still some discount prices available for the Observer seat, contact us for more information.
