Warbird Hangar Tours

The Capital Wing will have an "Open Hangar" for Warbird Hangar Tours every Saturday between now and April 25. Hours are 10am to 2pm. Admission is $10 per person or $30 per family of up to five people. (Cash preferred but credit cards accepted via a QR code.)

The Capital Wing hangar is located at the Culpeper (VA) Regional Airport at the end of Beverly Ford Road at Rts 15/29 in Elkwood, VA. Please use the hangar door at the front of the hangar.

  • Stinson OY-1 Sentinel, flew combat missions at the Battle of Saipan June 1944

  • Fairchild UC-61 Forwarder, used by the Coast Guard in WWII as an anti-submarine patrol aircraft

  • North American SNJ, advanced trainer

  • General Motors TBM Avenger torpedo bomber, largest single-engine bomber of WWII

  • Vultee BT-13 Valiant, basic trainer

  • Piper L-4 Grasshopper, flew combat missions at the Battle of Bastogne December 1944
