Terms and Conditions
• All flights subject to weather and/or aircraft availability and/or pilot availability and/or aircraft maintenance and/or FAA/airport restrictions.
• Flights are filled in the sequence in which orders are received.
• We do not guarantee any specific time for your flight and reserve the right to change the time of your flight to accommodate refueling and/or pilot/crew breaks and/or airport operations.
• You agree your flight time may be scheduled before the event "public gates open" or after the event "public gates close."
• The extent of the "flight experience" is from the time you are escorted to the aircraft and are strapped in the cockpit until the time you exit the aircraft.
• If you do not check-in for your flight at least 30 minutes before your scheduled flight, we reserve the right to re-schedule you to another flight time on the same day, or if that is not possible, offer you a flight on a different day. At our option, we may offer you a refund.
• Riders must be age 12+ for all aircraft (riders may be age 5-12 for the Fairchild UC-61 Forwarder and a parent/guardian must accompany them on the flight). All minors 12-18 must be accompanied by parent/guardian on site for any aircraft.
• Riders must be able to enter/exit the aircraft cockpit under their own power, or with minimal assistance at our discretion. We reserve the right to refuse a Warbird Ride to anyone who is not suitably mobile in the sole opinion of the Capital Wing flight crew and/or pilot. For safety reasons, the pilot has the final word about passenger acceptance. In the event a rider is unable to fly due to mobility issues, a refund will be provided.
• Weight restrictions may apply. In addition, regardless of weight, some body types may interfere with the plane's dual controls. We reserve the right to refuse a Warbird Ride to anyone who may jeopardize the proper FAA "weight and balance" of the aircraft, or safe aircraft operation, in the sole opinion of the Capital Wing flight crew and/or pilot. For safety reasons, the pilot has the final word about passenger acceptance. In the event a rider is unable to fly due to weight restrictions, a refund will be provided.
• Riders with broad shoulders and/or long legs and/or protruding belly may not fly in the Co-Pilot (right front) seat of the Fairchild UC-61 Forwarder, as that is considered “exit row seating,” or the turret seat of the TBM Avenger. Riders with a protruding belly may not fly in the passenger seat of the Stinson OY-1, Fairchild UC-61, or Vultee BT-13. Riders
with broad shoulders, and/or long legs, and or a protruding belly may consider flying in the Boeing PT-17 Stearman.
• Closed toe shoes are required. Flip flops or similar footwear is prohibited.
• All riders must sign appropriate waivers for the aircraft being flown before flight. In the event a rider refuses to sign a waiver, they will not fly and no refund will be given.
• For warbird rides booked on line thru our bookings website, payment must be made in advance by a valid credit card. For warbird rides purchased on-site at an event, payment must be made with a valid credit card or cash; personal checks are not accepted. A bookings fee will be added to the cost of the flight plus any add-ons ordered. The Commemorative Air Force is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a portion of your warbird ride donation may be tax deductible; consult your tax advisor.
• There are no refunds if you cancel your flight and make no arrangements to re-schedule your flight.
• There are no refunds if you are a "no show" at the time of your flight.
• If your flight is postponed or cancelled by us for any reason, we will offer to re-schedule you to the same, or a comparable ride, at another event at no additional charge. If your flight is postponed or cancelled by us and we cannot re-schedule your ride, or you choose not to re-schedule your ride, you will have the following options. 1) Leave your purchase price as a tax-deductible donation to the Capital Wing - CAF. 3) We will refund your Warbird Ride purchase price.
